Got some bummer news, gang. The CitiBike Share program has been delayed until Spring of 2013. This kind of bike share program is already in DC. I’ve used it. My friends there use it. It’s awesome. It works. I’m betting it could work here, too. Here’s hoping they get this thing rolling soon.

The Brooke and I just got back from quick trip through the Hudson Valley. We stopped off at Storm King on Saturday, rented bikes, and took advantage of a completely awesome day. If you are looking to get out of the city, pack a lunch and make a day of it. This place is special in so many ways.

Name: Jonathan
I was coming off the Manhattan Bridge last night and almost rode into Jonathan. Literally. With a ride like that, I had to stop to introduce myself and learn more. Jonathan is the proprietor of Aqueduct Logistics. AL offers a variety of delivery solutions throughout NYC. It’s a super cool business model and beyond being a progressive and environmentally sound alternative to the typical box-truck, it’s a dope way to spend your days and make a living. Jonathan had logged 57 miles by the time I bumped into him. I joke a lot about quitting my job, but damn….

Ride all weekend,

I know we tend to keep it NYC-centric over here, but tomball and I both grew up in CT, and its awesome to read about cities like Bridgeport embracing bicycles as part of the transportation eco-system.
That being said there is a long way to go. While cities like New Haven and Bridgeport are leading the charge, riding other cities is downright sketchy at times.

We recently took to the streets of New Orleans to celebrate one of our good bud’s final days as a single man. We ate, drank, bike ganged, gumbo-go-cupped, etc. all over the city. The weather was sick, and all told, I’m sad that I’m not there anymore.
